Bermondsey Street Honey has been amongst the key ingredients in Hannah Rhodes’ award-winning Hiver Beer since her launch in 2013. A true craft beer, Hiver has gone from strength to strength and in 2014 won Ocado’s “Next Top Supplier’ from a judging panel including Tom Kerridge , who tasted and singled out our honey for special praise during the event.

In beekeeping, there is a long tradition of sharing the honey harvest with your friends and neighbours. Jose Pizarro is both. His two Bermondsey Street restaurants are right on the flight-path of our rooftop bees and many of his dishes feature an inspired use of honey.

Tom Aikens commissioned our Apis Consultancy to set up an apiary for the new Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire,  part of a visionary and highly productive eco-system to supply both the kitchen and the Deli. For more on this collaboration see our Commercial Projects page.

Special recipes demand special honeys and we love working with Bee Berrie, of Bees Bakery, one of London’s top artisan bakeries. One of the most creative bakers around, Bee is a regular contributor to and her amazing cakes and biscuits feature regularly in the press. Bee’s new book “Brilliant Biscuits”, is out in March 2016

The search for an authentic London comb honey brought Lee Westcott and a BBC film crew to our Bermondsey Street rooftop. Chef Patron of the Typing Room in Bethnal Green, Lee is one of Britain’s most exciting young chefs and passionate about sourcing exciting, imaginative ingredients.
